On Campus Diploma of Teaching (ECE) Entry
The College has realistic diploma entry criteria which allows school leavers and adults to begin the programme. (Refer to entry criteria within the enrolment section).

One Programme, Two Careers
Study once, gain two awards and choose between two excellent careers! The College's programme is unique in that it combines two qualifications into one programme: Diploma of Teaching (ECE) Level 7, and the New Zealand Certificate in Nanny Education Level 5 (formerly the National Nanny Certificate).

The New Zealand Certificate in Nanny Education Level 5 (formerly the National Nanny Certificate) is only available for on campus students.

Popular Field Based Option
Field based learning means that some of our students study from as far away as Te Anau or Kaitaia. Many of our field based learners balance study with full or part time work in an early childhood centre.

Focus on Practical Learning
The College focuses on emphasising the practical, hands-on approach with its students. Professional Teaching Practice experiences give students valuable experience in a wide range of early childhood settings.

Unique Learning Environment The College has a unique learning environment catering for the individual needs of each student. All students have their individual learning style pattern assessed to enable tutors to incorporate student’s learning styles into their learning activities.

P.A.L. is unique to NZCECE and underpins the course design, delivery and assessments. The PAL programme is being continually developed with leading edge educational theory and practice incorporated.
