NZCECE is a focused, dedicated, significant and experienced niche provider of Early Childhood Education. It has been a leader in promoting quality early childhood care and education through graduating well qualified nannies and teachers.

Over 2000 students have been educated at the College over the past 18 years by experienced specialist tutors.

We aim to be the best. The NZCECE teaches early childhood care and education and nothing else. We specialise because we believe that what we’re doing is hugely important and we want to get it right. Every tutor at the College is passionate about early childhood and every book in our library relates to the subject. If you want to know about early childhood care and education, we have everything you need.  The way we see it, this area is too important and too fascinating for us to use our resources teaching anything else.

The New Zealand College of Early Childhood Education is part of the pulse. The NZCECE is always right up to date with what is happening in the real world of Early Childhood. Our teaching reflects the latest developments in the area and studying at the NZCECE means knowing what’s new. So if it’s early childhood you’re interested in, we’re the people to see.

Pro-Active Learning (P.A.L) Philosophy and Practices

The College was founded on the Pro-Active Learning philosophy and practices of teaching in the 1980s.

PAL has been operational for over 16 years and has positively influenced the Early Childhood sector over this time with many centres adopting this leading edge approach to teaching and learning. The Pro-Active Learning Philosophy (PAL) underpins the course design, delivery and assessments.

The PAL programme is being continually developed with leading edge educational theory and practice incorporated. The positive benefit of PAL to the children of our country is spread quickly by graduates of the College as they integrate themselves into Early Childhood centres and family homes.
