The New Zealand College of Early Childhood Education - Careers with Children
On Campus Programme Info

The College Programme is 3 years long and you will be awarded the Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) at the successful completion of Stage 3.

You will be awarded several other qualifications along the way. All of these qualifications are built into the one course, so that you study one programme and receive three major qualifications.i-img13.jpg

After successful completion of Stage 1 you will receive the New Zealand Certificate in Nanny Education (formerly the National Nanny Certificate). The New Zealand Certificate in Nanny Education formerly the National Nanny Certificate is a practical qualification with lots of hands-on experience in the care of young children. During your first year you will also start studing towards the CACHE Diploma (U.K.) and the Diploma of Teaching (ECE).

After successful completion of Stage 2 you will receive the CACHE Diploma (UK). The CACHE (Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education) Diploma (U.K.) is a British qualification in the care of young children that is especially useful if you have any plans to find work overseas. During the second year you will continue studying towards the Diploma of Teaching (ECE).

After successful completion of Stage 3 you will receive the Diploma of Teaching (ECE).

Want to keep studying towards a Degree after you graduate from Year 3? The College Diploma provides significant credits towards the Bachelor of Teaching and Learning, or Massey University's Bachelor of Education degree. A degree can be achieved with an extra year of full-time study at University, or part time while you continue on with employment.

Stage One and Stage Two awards can be achieved only by On Campus Training.
