Early childhood teachers are responsible for the education, care and wellbeing of young children in early childhood education services such as licensed early childhood education centers, kindergartens, kohanga reo, or in private homes as a nanny.  

Early childhood education is a rewarding profession which leads to career opportunities ranging from teaching and leadership roles within a centre through to centre ownership. An early childhood qualification is also a great way to travel and work overseas.
